Two of our preferred interconnects come from manufacturers that supply microphone cables (and even microphones) to recording engineers and studios. That must say something, as audiophiles we're very demanding about 'post production' equipment but 'pre-production' is perhaps even more important!
At the leading edge of studio installations is WBT, a brand that I've used at home in various configurations for several years. During that time I've also listened to many 'hi-fi' interconnects at wildly differing prices. What seems most obvious to me is those companies that manufacture microphone cables seem to know something extra, their interconnects are not only state-of-the-art in terms of sonic performance, they seem to gel in virtually any system installation.
